From the Needle to the Sacred

Nice to meet you — I'm Eitan Nehushtan.
I grew up in a secular home in Hod Hasharon, Israel. Art was always part of me — I've been drawing since childhood. At 22 I flew to India on the big post-army trip, and there I learned to tattoo. For the decade that followed, that was my livelihood — more than 3,000 people passed under my hands. On living skin I learned the language of permanence: there is no room for mistakes, and every line must be exact. But looking back, I felt there was no blessing in that money.
In recent years something began to shift. I went through a process of awakening, and the deeper I went, the more I found myself drawn to my Jewish roots. I began learning Tanya at my local Chabad house, and the figure of the Lubavitcher Rebbe became a source of inspiration unlike any other — a leader who saw a whole world in every single Jew, and taught that no one is ever lost.
And then I made a decision: to stop.
I put down the needle for the last time. The room where I tattooed for years became a 3D-printing Judaica studio — the same hands, the same love of art and precision, now in the service of holiness.
Today I design and craft mezuzahs, tzedakah boxes, washing cups and more — all original designs, made with advanced 3D-printing technology and careful hand-finishing.
Out of that connection to the Rebbe and his path came the studio's flagship: a tzedakah box shaped as the 770 building — the house from which shlichut went out to the entire world. The Rebbe called for a tzedakah box in every single room — so that the whole home becomes a "Mikdash Me'at", a small sanctuary. This is my personal tribute to the Rebbe, to the path, and to the tikun I am living.

My goal today is simple: that there should be blessing in the money. To do good with it, to build a home in Israel, and to give back to our people. G-d willing — a complete teshuvah.
